Powers: Can sense people's aura/soul upon touching them, and can sense the auras of those familiar to her when they are within 10 miles or so. Can create magick-based flames that will burn anything/anyone impure. Can purge brainwashing.
At Level One: Senses people's auras sometimes when she touches them. When nervous or frightened, creates sparks or small flames that are out of her control. Can sometimes sense brainwashing by touching a person, but can do nothing about it.
At Level Two: Can always sense a person's aura by touching him or her. Can create decent flames when she concentrates, but has little control over their trajectory and less over when they go out. Can sense any brainwashing if she concentrates when touching a person.
At Level Three: Can sense the auras of those familiar to her without the aid of touch when they are within 5 miles or so, and can sense the auras of strangers by touching them. Can create reasonable flames and can control their trajectory; can make them go out by concentrating. Can sense brainwashing within 200 feet or so of her person, but can only purge brainwashing if it isn't too ingrained and the person is weak-minded.
At Level Four: Is always aware of the auras of those familiar to her within 15 miles or so when she's awake, and sense the auras of strangers only by touching them. Good control over the size of her flames, their trajectory, and over when they go out. Can sense brainwashing within 200 feet or so, and can usually purge it.
At Level Five: Is always at least subconciously aware of the auras of those familiar to her within 15-20 miles of her depending on the strength of the aura, and can sense the auras of strangers within 100 feet by concentrating. Can create a good-sized inferno when necessary, and control its path and when it goes out with ease. Can sense brainwashing within 200 feet or so and purge it, but if it's ingrained it's a real drain on her energy.
Starting Level and Why: Level 2, because she's 18, and because she wouldn't survive her first two or three fights as a level one.
Alignment: Vigilante-- she has her own sense of right and wrong, and will usually do what she has to to bring justice home to the person in the wrong.

Written description: Skinny, could be called gangly-- thus the childhood nickname "Mowgli." Slightly tan skin year-'round due to her Alaskan Native heritage. Wears glasses. Had a recent growth spurt and therefore is often seen tugging at the hem of her shirt or slightly highwater pants. Has slight asthma, but could get rid of it if she exercised more. Has two piercings in her right ear and one in the left, but usually only wears an earring in the second piercing in her right ear.
Short Bio: Is afraid of religion due to her parents going overboard on it most of her life, as they switched back and forth between shaking their fists at God and kneeling/weeping before Him for forgiveness. Was taken out of school when her 8th grade year ended because her parents were worried it would corrupt the Fundamentalist Christian views and values they expected her to have. Her mother left her father not long after her 17th birthday, when her mother finally got fed up with the fact that her father wouldn't work if he couldn't spend most of his earnings on himself. When a dying alien priestess performed a ritual to pass on her powers, Kendra was horrified. When she accidentally almost set her bed on fire, she realized it was for real and ran away, fearing her family's reactions.
